Mortgage Foreclosure Clinics

In 2008, NCBA became the first bar association in New York State to address the looming mortgage foreclosure crisis. Volunteer attorneys provide one-on-one consultations at free monthly clinics to any Nassau County homeowner who is facing foreclosure. Clinics are 3-5:30 p.m. at the Bar’s headquarters in Mineola. (Pro bono legal consultation only; no legal services are performed.)

Members may also represent homeowners pro bono at court-mandated conferences with mortgage holders, which are held twice a day, Monday through Thursday in Supreme Court. Attorneys from all practice areas are welcome; training on the newest foreclosure laws and procedures is provided.
