| New York Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA), also referred to as Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance, provides individuals that live or work in one of the counties declared as a disaster and have become unemployed as a direct result of Hurricane Sandy to be eligible for DUA relief. You may qualify for DUA even though you would not normally be eligible for UI benefits. |
